Welcome to the Army ROTC info blog. I wanted this first blog to tell you a little bit about what I intend this blog to be and what I hope it can do. As a product of Army ROTC, an Army Officer that has served on and off for almost 25 years, and an Army ROTC enrollment officer for the last 5 years I think I have a broad knowledge of what it takes to be an Army ROTC cadet, and later an Army Officer. I want to help anyone who is interested to gather the information they need to make an informed decision about Army ROTC, Army ROTC scholarships, and becoming an Army Officer. I also want to provide my insight into the college application process (I have a daughter who is a college freshman). I intend to blog about everything from tips on applying for an ROTC scholarship to what it’s like to enroll in Army ROTC. I’ll talk about ROTC in Northern New York in the Golden Knight Battalion, and the merits of schools like Clarkson, St Lawrence, and and SUNY’s Potsdam and Canton. I hope you enjoy what you read, and find the information valuable and entertaining.
